About the Artist
My name is Alisa Hasbrouck, and I live on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. Inspiration is never far here...one only needs to step outside! The scenery is constantly changing with the weather and seasons, providing brand new perspectives. I'm also blessed with opportunities to travel and draw inspiration from other places. And, sometimes I dive into my own imagination to see what's there.
My hope is to share my experiences and imagination with others through art.
Background
There are many artists in my family. As a child I would watch them paint, and I played at art painting alongside them. In the last few years, I've been inspired to learn and experiment with new techniques. I love letting the process play out, and I'm usually surprised by the result!
Mediums
I create art painting with oils, acrylics, and gouache. I paint on gallery wrapped cotton canvas, regular stretched canvas, canvas panels, or paper. I plan to experiment with soft pastels this winter.
